Assignees plugin

When you add assignees plugin, collection morphs into task/project managmement solution. Items become tasks.

How it works​

After adding assignees plugin, collection gets new field that represents currently assigned team member. You can assign Plyn users who are members of your team.

By default tasks are unassigned. It is displayed in item view and optionally in table view.

When you assign someone to a task, they will get notification via email and internal notification.

Iteractions with other plugins​

Statuses plugin​

If statuses plugin also is enabled, assignees and task creators will see task on their My tasks widget on Dashboard. Tasks disapear from My tasks when their status changes to done or failed.

Scheduling plugin​

If scheduling plugin is also enabled, tasks will be visible on My calendar view and on Timeline view.

Usage​

When to use​

This plugin is especially useful to create:

  • simple lists of tasks
  • task mamagement tool
  • project management tool
  • assign account managers to clients

When not to use​

When you have items that are not assignable, but you still want to link tasks with your team users you can use Person type in Custom fields plugin.
